The book, World Peace and Other 4th Grade Achievements  is now available in Japanese translation. The book, game, and master classes have been gaining interest and demand globally, as evidenced by the publication of the Japanese version.

NHK, Japan's Public TV, Will Feature John Hunter's TED Talk in November!

TED Talk, "Teaching With the World Peace Game" to Be Featured On Japanese Public TV Show

John's TED2011 Talk will be aired on NHK, which is Japan's equivalent of BBC. It will be featured on Super Presentation, a NHK program which presents the top TED Talks (John Hunter was  selected as one of the "2014 All-Star 50+ Favorite TED Speakers"). The episode, Teaching with the World Peace Game will be televised throughout Japan in November 2014.

Training Industry recently discussed how games–The World Peace Game in particular–can be the perfect opportunity to think critically about our environment and relationships with others.

"Can we enhance game-based learning by playing in real life? John Hunter, an incredible teacher from Richmond, Virginia, describes the powerful game he created for his gifted fourth graders: The World Peace Game, in his TED talk."

Fenn boys' school Professional Day features John

Despite winter weather, teachers, administrators, and students attended Fenn's Professional Day to see John Hunter speak on the World Peace Game and teaching methods.

Hunter “reinforced the key characteristics we all strive as Fenn educators to incorporate in our classrooms, and at the same time he inspired us with ideas of how we may bring these characteristics into the classroom in new and different ways,” said George Scott, head of the Lower School, after the presentation.

Inquiring Minds features the Game

Enquiring Minds recently featured John and the World Peace Game on their website.

"Fracking in the United States, the holocaust in Syria, worldwide climate change and other seemingly irresolvable issues are debated every day by adults who take their roles as citizens dead seriously. The World’s top leaders seem to go round and round in circles, unable to affect change. Imagine a classroom where 30 fourth graders play a game that requires them to resolve these problems collectively. A classroom in which these young students take on roles usually reserved for very savvy world leaders."
